{"id":16979,"date":"2025-02-28T19:24:57","date_gmt":"2025-02-28T18:24:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ifpma.org\/?post_type=events&#038;p=16979"},"modified":"2025-03-11T17:29:15","modified_gmt":"2025-03-11T16:29:15","slug":"from-innovation-to-access-a-shared-vision-for-the-4th-un-high-level-meeting-on-ncds-and-mental-health","status":"publish","type":"events","link":"https:\/\/www.ifpma.org\/events\/from-innovation-to-access-a-shared-vision-for-the-4th-un-high-level-meeting-on-ncds-and-mental-health\/","title":{"rendered":"From innovation to access: A shared vision for the 4th UN High-level Meeting on NCDs and Mental Health"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"intro\">From developing innovative medicines and vaccines to driving initiatives that support equitable access, the pharmaceutical industry is a critical private sector stakeholder committed to addressing the global NCDs burden and improving health everywhere.<\/p>\n<p>On 11 March, IFPMA is hosting an in-person event in New York to launch our non-communicable disease (NCDs) \u201cCall to Action.\u201d\u00a0 This is an important milestone ahead of the UN High-Level Meting on NCDs and Mental Health taking place later this year.<\/p>\n<p>The global burden of NCDs \u2013 which include diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular disease, lung disease, mental health, and neurological disorders \u2013 presents a critical challenge to patients, health systems, economies, and societies worldwide, and the UN High-Level Meeting is expected to result in a Political Declaration to drive global progress to tackle this rising global health challenge.<\/p>\n<p>This event will be a platform for cross-sectoral engagement among leaders from governments, the private sector, academia, and civil society to highlight actionable pathways to progress and goal-setting for NCDs and Universal Health Coverage (UHC) \u2013 through 2030 and with a vision to 2050.
