{"id":1657,"date":"2022-11-30T22:20:46","date_gmt":"2022-11-30T22:20:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ifpma.flywheelsites.com\/?post_type=experts&#038;p=1657"},"modified":"2024-04-16T02:26:14","modified_gmt":"2024-04-16T00:26:14","slug":"komal-kalha","status":"publish","type":"experts","link":"https:\/\/www.ifpma.org\/experts\/komal-kalha\/","title":{"rendered":"Komal Kalha"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"intro\">Komal leads our Intellectual Property and Trade Policy portfolio.<\/p>\n<p>She works with UN member states and international and regional organizations to promote global health solutions by advocating international best practices for IP protection, removing market access barriers, and creating a sustainable ecosystem to incentivize innovation.<\/p>\n<p>Her experience as a corporate attorney and trusted government advisor enables Komal to resolve complex domestic and international policy and business challenges in numerous sectors.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to joining IFPMA, Komal led the United States Patent and Trademark Office\u2019s attach\u00e9 program in South Asia. She was the principal strategic advisor to the US Government (USG) on all aspects of Intellectual Property for India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Afghanistan, and Maldives.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Komal led negotiations with South Asian Governments relating to IP policy initiatives of the USG.
